We have long asserted that Milly Dent is a porcelain artist to keep and eye on, and the team at Provider Store whole-heartedly agree! Milly is the first artist to be selected for a residency at the Surry Hills retailer, after connecting with Provider Store founder Tara Bennet over their mutual interest in ‘slow living.’
Millie explains ‘Tara and I bond over our mutual respect for ethical and sustainable making, and the idea of making products that are built to last.’ Her work reflects this consideration, as her hand-crafted items are intended to be used daily as part of the ritual of having a cup of tea, or slice of toast. Beauty meets function.
The residency and pop-up runs from June 20th until July 9th, and visitors have the opportunity to chat with Milly about her practice and slow-made homewares approach. Get in quickly to nab yourself a limited-edition golden gem cup (fired four times and coated in 18-carat gold!) + more!
Milly will also be holding a samples and seconds sale on the final weekend of her pop-up on the weekend of July 6th-7th.
