For more than 90 years, Laminex has created durable surfaces with styles and tones that evolve to suit the lives of everyday Australians.
Their iconic palette has expanded with ten new décors inspired by the tones, textures, and natural character of the Australian landscape.
‘For generations, Laminex has played an important role in shaping Australian interiors, continually evolving our collections to reflect the way Australians live and the environments that inspire them,’ says Amanda Watt, Head of Marketing and Digital at Laminex.
The elevated collection features six new solid colours and four Australian Native Woodgrains, all designed to promote a connection to place.
Drawing inspiration from the Australian landscape, Desert Dune captures the sun-baked hues of the outback, while Red Centre takes its cue from Uluru’s striking crimson tones.
The four new additions to Laminex’s Next Generation Woodgrains collection draws on the natural beauty of timbers found along Australia’s east coast, and they sit among the broader range featuring native woodgrains from across Australia.
Calm Bluegum takes its warm colouring from Southern Blue Gum eucalyptus, while Raw Spotted Gum’s striking pattern pairs a lighter red toned wood with paler yellow highlights and the characteristic grain of crown cut Queensland Spotted Gum raw veneer.
‘The most enduring interiors aren’t built around a single hero colour or material. They’re created through palettes that work together effortlessly,’ says Amanda.
This concept is brought to life through a series of spatial commercial and residential concepts by Melbourne architect Zac Bunston of BUNSTON.
‘Colour Collection 2027 was designed to give designers, makers and homeowners the confidence to create spaces that feel considered today while remaining timeless for years to come,’ she says.
