Phoenix’s Vivid MKII collection takes a considered approach to bathroom design, refining a familiar range of tapware, mixers, showers and accessories through proportion, material and detail.
The collection has a pared-back quality, with clean geometry and balanced forms that give each piece a quiet sense of presence. Its design draws on the ideas of architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, particularly his belief in the relationship between disciplined proportions, honest materials and careful attention to detail.
Each product is available in five finishes — Chrome, Brushed Nickel, Brushed Carbon, Brushed Gold and the new Brushed Bronze — and is compatible with the Phoenix SwitchMix® universal in-wall system, which allows design preferences to evolve while preserving the integrity of in-wall plumbing and waterproofing.
There’s a degree of flexibility within the range, too. Mixers are available in both pin-up and pin-down configurations, while the new Gooseneck Showers offer another way to tailor the collection to different bathrooms.
While you won’t find unnecessary bells and whistles in this line, its timeless material palette, clean geometry, balanced forms and quiet performance suit a range of contemporary interiors.
‘When you look at Vivid MKII, the simplicity is obvious. What isn’t immediately visible is the amount of refinement required to achieve that simplicity,’ Design lead Ban Liu says.
‘From the proportions of the body to the machined handle and stepped pin, every detail was resolved with intention.’
