Ever since Melbourne textile designer Cassie Byrnes launched Variety Hour in 2016, the brand has become synonymous with all things pattern and colour.

Fans of their signature prints and bold clothing might not know that Cassie initially studied interior design, and now, the brand is diving headfirst into the world of homewares with their first bedding collection!

Cassie and her team have translated some of Variety Hour’s classic hand-painted designs into an Australiana-inspired collection of sheets and quilts.

‘Fashion and home have always had such synergy for me, so when I studied interiors, I was obsessed with pattern clashing interiors and upholstered furniture,’ she says.

Now she’s been able to bring that same outlandish sense of style into her own range. It includes three sheets sets, pillowcases and a reversible quilt cover, which are all sold separately giving you the option to mix or match.

‘For our maximalist stans we have a quilt cover and sheet in our ‘Terra Flora’ print, a nod to that bold ’90s bedding vibe made famous by the likes of Ken Done. We also have sheets in the ‘Cosmos’ print and the ‘Things at Home’ print, inspired by objects around the house,’ Cassie adds.

Shop Variety Hour’s debut bedding collection online here, or in-store at 155 Gertrude Street, Fitzroy.
