Everything inside the ‘jam café’ has been designed and made in Australia by local designers and manufacturers. Seriously! From the furniture and tableware, to the tables themselves and lighting fixtures, it’s all part of jam – the latest showcase of pieces by JamFactory, Adelaide’s hottest design collective.
JamFactory is a not-for-profit organisation located in Adelaide, which has provided studio, gallery and shop space for designers and craft practitioners for nearly 50 years. jam builds on this rich history of nurturing local talent to present a uniquely Australian-designed and made collection of furniture, lighting and objects. Collaborating with a broad range of Australian designers, makers and fabricators, jam offers a platform to showcase, sell and celebrate their diverse wares.
As part of Melbourne Design Week, jam will bring the best of the best together in-situ. Keen! From glass pitchers to handblown glass wall sconces, the impressive lineup of wares on show have been created by designers such as Adam Goodrum, Liam Fleming, Kristel Britcher, Dean Toepfer and Stephanie James Manttan alongside new pieces by Rolf Barfoed, Ashlee Hopkins, Rowsaan, Daniel Emma and Andrew Carvolth.
So for ten days only take a seat at jam café, order a hot drink, and admire the designer fit-out. Genius!
