It doesn’t matter if you’re a minimalist or maximalist — every room needs a good statement piece.

This might be something bold, like a velvet sofa, or more subtle, like a timber dining table with an interesting silhouette.

Melbourne-born furniture retailer Trit House has all ends of the spectrum covered with its new collection, titled Unscripted Spaces.

The local business, which stocks more than 50 leading brands alongside their own range of in-house designs, is encouraging people to experiment and embrace individuality this season.

‘We designed this collection around the idea that home isn’t static,’ Trit House managing director Rain Shin says.

‘It’s ever-changing, personal, and instinctive. Each piece is an invitation to shape your own story.’

Drawing inspiration from across multiple design eras and looks, the new launch is less about following trends, and more about ensuring your home feels unique to you, playing with varying colour, texture, and strong forms.

Some of the must-haves from Trit House’s range include the Petra Series modular sofa, featuring contemporary curved pieces that can be configured to fit large or small living rooms, or the detailed woven oak design of the Otto Sideboard.
