We were super inspired to learn about, ‘Hear Me Out’  a creative initiative encouraging us all to have conversations about anxiety – which can be an embarrassing and complicated issue that many people find hard to bring up, yet is something almost 30% of adult Australian’s will suffer from at some point in their life.

Anxiety Recovery Centre Victoria (ARC Vic) in conjunction with Lousy Ink are hosting this one-night-only art auction and exhibition on November 24th in Collingwood. The show is 100% not-for-profit with all proceeds donated to ARC Vic, and aims to champion the organisations vital work and promote support networks available.

The 50 artists have been paired with 50 anonymous testimonials from people who have suffered from a form of anxiety, and have created artistic, positive responses as a form of support. Original testimonials will be displayed alongside artwork, to show harsh reality of anxiety and how it’s often overlooked, even in plain sight.

Artist include Jeffrey Phillips, 23rd Key, Shawn Lu, Wanissa Somsuphangsri of The Letterettes, Ben Lopez, Carla McRae, Ghostpatrol, Evie Cahir, Michael Peck, Minna Leunig, Chris Yee, Ashley Ronning and many more. While local Melbourne DJ’s Pocock and Tim Heaney will also be there be spinning tunes.

Conveniently located right next door to our TDF Open House, we hope you can stop by to see the wonderful works and show your support.
