Located on the northeast of New South Wales, Halcyon House is a boutique hotel that embodies the carefree days of Aussie holidays gone by.

Once an old surfing motel, the nostalgic Cabarita Beach accommodation is celebrating its 10th birthday since being opened by sisters Siobhan and Elisha Bickle.

To mark this milestone, outdoor lifestyle brand Business & Pleasure Co. has teamed up with the hotel for a refresh of the outdoor terrace and poolside spaces for visitors to enjoy across this summer season.

The new installation was inspired by the brand’s signature vintage-meets-modern aesthetic, alongside iconic references of retro luxury captured by iconic American photographer Slim Aarons.

Scalloped silhouettes and fringe umbrellas frame the scene, joined by hero pieces from the bestselling Waterhouse and Al Fresco collections.

Pistachio-green umbrellas flank sunbeds with peach-coloured cushions that set the scene for celebrations until January — including an outdoor cinema showing classic films every Friday and Saturday, and complimentary mini cakes covered in 100s-and-1000s for in-house guests!

The collaboration builds on the Australian-designed brand’s partnerships with world-renowned destinations including Soho House, Belmond, and the Four Seasons.
