After the year the arts has suffered, we’re excited to finally be getting out to some galleries. (See our roundup of the 10 unmissable exhibitions to see this year if you’re not sure where to begin!)

As well as those at the big institutions, there’s plenty of smaller shows being held around the country, including the latest from West End Art Space in Melbourne.

Of Colour and Light is a biennial curated by Anna Prifti highlighting the work of women abstract artists from the state of Victoria.

Comprising 50 artists, the show examines concepts of colour and light through a range of styles, from lyrical and expressive, to reductive and minimalist. Artists from emerging and established practices are represented.

The exhibition is on now at West End Art Space’s new permanent address in West Melbourne. It’s only open until this Sunday, so get in quick!
