There’s something to be said for having a design language or a singular piece that’s so distinctive, people can instantly identify what brand it belongs to.
Australian furniture brand Tait arguably has a few of these, but perhaps the most beloved is its Swing Chair, expertly crafted purely from stainless steel.
Designed by Adam Goodrum and the Tait Design Studio, the supremely sleek chair was first released in 2023, and since then, the team has fielded repeated requests to expand Swing with a full range.
Well, these calls have been heard, as the brand has just revealed the complete Swing Collection, introducing a new series of seating options and matching tables all designed in the same polished form that we know and love.
‘The Collection evolved from the core idea of the Swing Chair, a continuous stainless-steel tube that flows around the object in one uninterrupted line. That gesture became the defining language of the collection,’ Adam explains.
The original wire formation, tube forming, programming, and jig design were all revisited and improved to create the new pieces, which include a lounger, barstool, chaise, dining table, cafe table, and side table.
Much like the initial Swing Chair, the collection is meticulously engineered for retail, hospitality, workplace, and residential settings — both indoor and outdoor.
Its visual lightness also makes it versatile, and every detail has been considered for longevity, with textured powdercoat finishes that add UV-resistant protection.
Most of all, the new Swing Collection also reflects Tait’s commitment to circularity and sustainability. Not only is each piece backed by a 10-year structural warranty, but these forms are purpose-built for refurbishment, and the stainless steel material can be recycled at the end of its lifespan — and that’s a legacy to be proud of.
The Swing Collection is available now exclusively through Tait. Visit their Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane showrooms or browse the collection online here.
