Ivy Muse is a collaboration between longtime friends and creative collaborators Jacqui Vidal and Alana Langan. With a shared interest in all things green, the pair originally joined forces in 2014 to create their impressive collection of locally made plant stands. In just 3 years since launching their business, Ivy Muse has grown exponentially. They are now stocked in almost 50 stores nationally, and last year, Alana and Jacqui expanded their offering with the opening of their ‘Botanical Emporium’, a lush bricks and mortar store in Armadale, stocking plants and contemporary plant accessories, alongside botanical inspired homewares.

THIS month, Alana and Jacqui add another string to their bow! Plant Style is their brand new hardcover book, published by Thames and Hudson.

‘Writing and shooting Plant Style was an epic project’ explains Alana. ‘It was our first time writing and producing a book, and we’ve learnt it’s definitely not for the faint hearted – luckily it’s a topic we’re passionate about so it’s also been an immensely inspiring journey!’

The book is a field guide of sorts, offering practical tips for styling with greenery and plants in contemporary spaces. It’s also chock full of pin-worthy plant-filled images, which the authors hope will inspire readers to get creative with plants at home. ‘Everything we do at Ivy Muse  is underpinned by our goal, to encourage people to get creative with their greenery’ Jacqui adds.

The book has been a labour of love for this industrious pair – and a collaborative venture involving many of our favourite local creatives! Talented local photographer Annette O’Brien photographed the book, whilst contributors include Simone Haag, Heather Nette-King and Elizabeth Barnett, to name just a few!

Plant Style‘ by Alana Langan and Jacqui Vidal, published in hardcover by Thames & Hudson, is currently available for pre-order, at RRP $34.99, from their website, here, delivering for September 1st.
