Award-winning Danish fixtures and fittings brand VOLA have launched their first Australian showroom in Melbourne. This year marks 50 years since their first taps were designed in 1968for the National Bank of Denmark, and today, VOLA is internationally recognised as a global leader in cutting-edge design, and uncompromising manufacturing standards – they still manufacture every component of their taps in Denmark.

The new Melbourne showroom elegantly reflects the VOLA brand philosophies, whilst honoring the original features of the factory building it inhabits in Collingwood. Designed by long-term VOLA collaborator Torben Madsen, Head of Design at Danish architecture firm Link Arkitektur, the showroom highlights the exposed brick walls of the original factory building. Torbenexplains, ‘…it has been my goal to preserve the original atmosphere of the building.’

Although VOLA has long been a popular choice for Australian architects, the arrival of the first dedicated Australian showroom is an important step for the brand. This space will allow visitors to explore the full range of tapware, with fully functioning fixtures (ie running water) to properly showcase the brand’s unparalleled craftsmanship.
