The exemplary projects of RMIT’s School of Design graduating students are now on display at the very first RMIT Graduate Festival of Design!
Launching today, the inaugural festival is an entirely online showcase featuring live-streamed events and exhibitions of student works and discussions. Projects cover a wide variety of mediums, from digital design, to video, sound, animation, games, services design, branding, community engagement projects and more.
This online event is a rather fitting end to the 2020 class, who have all completed their studies virtually this year. ‘2020 has been a most unusual year, and we have had to adapt to new ways of working, learning and designing,’ says Professor Laurene Vaughan, Dean of RMIT’s School of Design. ‘The 2020 Graduates of the RMIT School of Design at RMIT have shown exceptional resilience, creativity and the capacity to adapt to new and unexpected modes of practice.’
RMIT’s School of Design consolidates the fields of Communication Design, Industrial Design, and Digital Design, encompassing five undergraduate courses and four postgraduate programs.
All content and activities in the RMIT Graduate Festival of Design are available to view via the festival’s dedicated homepage. It opens today with the grand opening event at 5pm (AEDT), and closes on Monday November 30. Be sure to check out all the hard work from our future voices in design!
