The lamp designs of Danish architect Verner Panton are instantly recognisable for their playful shapes and bold colour schemes that endure decades later.

Originally designed in 1971, the Louis Poulsen Panthella 160 Portable Lamp is a cult-favourite among design enthusiasts — and it’s just had a glow up with new features and colours.

The Panthella 160 Portable Lamp V3 introduces touch-sensitive controls for better convenience and control. Simply touch the top nut to adjust the brightness, or to turn the light on or off.

The lamp is also available in an exciting range of new shades that speak to a younger, dynamic audience, making the Panthella 160 Portable Lamp an ideal fit for contemporary interiors.

There’s now 13 colours to choose from, including new shades yellow, indigo blue, beige, beige chrome, metallised brass, and chrome.

The rechargeable V3 lamp also has a longer battery time, allowing uninterrupted use at full brightness for 8.5 hours. Take the water resistant lamp outside when entertaining, or move it around your home to create an intimate setting as desired.

The V3 maintains the iconic shape of Panton’s original product, strategically designed for 100 per cent glare-free light, with both the stand and the shade serving as light reflectors.

Shop the Panthella 160 Portable Lamp V3, available now at Cult.
