Industrial Designer Nicole Lawrence (Nicole Lawrence Studio) and material designer Georgie Brunmayr (Curio Practice) have made quite a splash in the design world since launching their respective businesses over the last couple of years.

Following the success of their Fitzroy pop-up late last year, the Melbourne-based designers are taking their show on the road and today opened the doors to their Sydney winter shop and showroom.

From Friday, August 12 – Saturday, August 20 Sydney-siders will have the chance to peruse and purchase their wares in person, chat to the designers themselves and learn more about the stories behind their brands. There will also be vases by Hattie Molloy and jewellery by Seb Brown available to shop!

On the evening of Thursday, August 18, writer and editor (and TDF’s former managing editor!) Sally Tabart will be hosting an in-conversation event with the pair in their Oxford Street space. The chat will delve into their respective journeys in the design industry, what it means to be Australian-made now and in the future, and how a small idea can turn into something big. Tickets are free!

Both female-led and proudly made in Melbourne, Georgie and Nicole represent a new generation of design stars in Australia. Sydney people, don’t miss this!
