Food For Everyone founder and artist Gemma Leslie has once more pulled together the best creative voices in food and art for the second instalment of the culinary poster shop’s Artist Collection.

Six new posters feature recipes from some of the country’s best chefs, thoughtfully paired with a fresh line-up of local artists to bring them to life.

‘Playing matchmaker between our chefs and artists is so much fun,’ says Gemma. ‘We undertake a lot of research first to make sure they are creatively and energetically matched, but ultimately there is a lot of trust between the chef and artist!’

‘The most exciting part of the whole process is seeing how each artist has interpreted the recipe. And, of course, sharing the final artwork with the chef.’

The new collection sees Attica’s jelly bean ice cream by Ben Shrewy brought to life in a pastel delight by artist Nadia Hernández; CIBI’s miso soup playfully illustrated by Carla McRae; and Lune’s coconut pandan twice-baked croissant expertly painted by Simon Fitzsimon. There’s also Elizabeth Hewson’s spaghetti puttanesca by Libby Haines; Duncan Welgemoed and Lauren Southwell’s Riverland yabbie boil by Max Blackmore; and Damien Coulthard and Rebecca Sullivan’s Davidson’s plum iced vovos by Aretha Brown.

‘Some of the artists involved have work that is displayed solely in galleries — like Nadia at the NGV — or only seen as street murals like Aretha’s work,’ says Gemma. ‘So the Artist Collection is a really exciting opportunity to own a piece of their art at an accessible price point.’

Additionally, for every poster purchased, Food For Everyone donates 10 meals to its charity partner SecondBite.
