We’ve long been fans of the bright and bold work of Melbourne-based textile designer, Cassie Byrnes. Over the last few years it seems like her ecstatic prints have been everywhere – from wrapped around Häagen-Dazs ice-cream tubs to the designs of local labels like Kuwaii, as well as her own line of wearable textiles, Variety Hour Studio. This weekend, Cassie has set up shop on Johnson Street for visitors to step inside her wonderful world at very special Variety Hour pop-up shop!
The first of a few bricks-and-mortar pop ups Cassie has dreamed up for this year, the whole idea of having a physical space comes from a desire to connect with her audience in person. ‘My plan is to work at all of them as much as possible to get a greater understanding of the people I am designing for,’ she explains, ‘Also to give people the opportunity to be introduced to the brand and see the prints in real life!’. Don’t miss out on this one people!
