A Revival Of A Living Legend

A new series of limited edition prints from Australian art royalty, Charles Blackman.

There are few Australian artists whose works are as immediately recognisable as Charles Blackman. His distinctive paintings capture a unique curiosity and wonder, intermingled with an unsettling sense of isolation and darkness.

Angela Tandori Fine Arts – alongside Blackman’s son Auguste and The Charles Blackman Foundation – have launched The Masterworks Series of limited edition prints from Charles Blackman’s catalogue.

Now 89, Blackman’s most prolific days are behind him, but Angela explains that the six selected prints have been ‘gleaned from the artist’s prime’. The series includes images from the iconic Alice in Wonderland collection, as well as inspiration from Blackman’s own life.

If you have always hankered for a Charles Blackman work in your own home, but were unable to outbid the National Gallery of Australia at auction, this masterworks series could be your answer!
