The Australian Brand Bringing Designer Aesthetics To Your Bathroom

Shopping

There comes a time in everyone’s lives when you start to get excited about bathroom items. Somewhere in your mid-to-late 20s, a strange phenomenon occurs where instead of just lusting over expensive shoes or music festival tickets, you’ll find a particularly charming vanity bookmarked in your must-haves, or a page full of basins pinned on your Pinterest boards. It happens to everyone – don’t be alarmed – and thanks to United Products, there’s actually a whole lot to get excited about!

We talk to the people behind the Melbourne-based brand’s first collection of ‘designful products for wet areas’.

United Products is a new Australian brand focusing on high quality, design-led bathroom products. The inaugural collection combines the talents of three Australian designers – Thomas Coward, Stephen Royce and Hana Hakim (The Stella Collective) – presenting distinctly modern hand basins, baths and vanities.

The concept for United Products is twofold – offering standard designs by leading creatives for smaller scale needs, as well as creating custom solutions for medium to large projects.

‘We’ve found that architects and designers often can’t find what they need, and creating custom solutions was problematic for them,’ explains United Products designer Stephen Royce, ‘United Products has significant expertise in design and delivery for custom projects.

Award-winning designers in their own rights, Thomas, Hana and Stephen came together to work on this project collaboratively alongside a swathe of other creatives, bringing their own distinct design aesthetic for the contemporary Australian bathroom. ‘It’s very exciting to be creating with a brand with such a singular vision, which aims to energise the bathroom space with Australian ideas and our unique take on wet spaces,’ Thomas enthuses.

Following the release of the inaugural United Products collection, next up, the brand will be working with acclaimed Australian designer Nick Rennie to launch his first bathroom collection. Move over living rooms – it’s the bathroom’s time to shine!
