We don’t need Lizzo to tell us life looks better in colour! But in case you need more convincing than the TDF archive can provide, a new book published by Hardie Grant will get you over the line.

VIVID: Style in Colour is an exploration of creative homes around the world which showcase colour in bright and brilliant ways. Written and styled by Julia Green (of Greenhouse Interiors) and photographed by Armelle Habib, the book is divided into eight chapters each dedicated to a colour: orange, red, blue, green, pink, yellow, neutrals, and black. One creative home heralds the beginning of each chapter, from Jessica Bettenay in Melbourne to LRNCE in Marrakech.

But it’s not just about the inspo! These feature interiors are followed by followed by a weave of style advice, interviews and travel photography to demonstrate different uses of palette, plus essays about the science and psychology of colour and applying colour in your spaces according to size and season.

Essential reading for anyone interested in interiors!
