Before Megan McNeill started her own homewares brand, she cut her teeth at cult local Australian labels such as Sister Studios, Variety Hour and Oroton. Seven years later and she has launched her own addition to the local textile landscape with a range of hand tufted homewares under the name Trinket Solo!
Influenced by early modernist interiors, decorative arts and ancient artefacts, the brand revolves around interpreting traditional craft practices with a contemporary design sensibility. Named Barbizon after the modernist Beaumaris home of the same name, the collection features a range of luxurious hand tufted cushions in both octagonal and bolster shapes. The rich colours and bold patterns pay homage to the enduring influence of this local architectural legacy.
Each made-to-order piece is tufted from New Zealand wool and produced in Megan’s Brunswick studio.
