LAUFEN SONAR Collection by Patricia Urquiola including the SONAR Wall Hung Pan and SONAR Textured Above Counter Basin.

Bring European Flair To Your Bathroom With These Designer Pieces!

29th April, 2021

Leading Australian bathroom retailer Reece brings not one but two exclusive, designer collections from renowned Swiss designer, LAUFEN, to our shores.

As the country’s leading supplier of bathroom products, Reece works with some of the best international designers to bring their designs to Australian customers. One of the most lauded of those exclusive partners is LAUFEN, the cutting edge Swiss brand that has been operating since 1892!

And now, Reece brings us not one but two of LAUFEN’s incredible new collections, produced in collaboration with award-winning Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola and Dutch design master, Marcel Wanders. The basins in both collections feature LAUFEN’s SaphirKeramik – a thin ceramic material made using a mineral component of sapphire, rendering it steel-like in strength.

Marcel drew on centuries-old architecture and traditional design principles to create the pieces in The New Classic collection. The designs for the basins, bath, toilet and accessories in the collection are distinguishable by the fine curved lip at the rim of each item, which makes for an elegant and refined ceramic flourish.

The Sonar collection by Patricia Urquiola is a more contemporary offering. Inspired by the energy and pulse of sound waves, each freestanding bath, basin and toilet is an organic, ovular shape, with some wrapped in fine rippled grooves on the outer surface. The smooth Wall Hung Pan and smooth Textured Above Counter Basin in the picture above are from the Sonar range.

The New Classic and Sonar collections by LAUFEN are available exclusively through Reece. You can shop the collections now!

Reece are Australia’s leading experts in bathroom design, products and innovation. From their leading international brand portfolio to the latest trends and inspiration, they’re passionate about helping you realise your dream bathroom. Get started on their free Moodboard Design Tool here.
