One of the most inspiring things to come out of this crisis is the innovation and adaptability of small and creative businesses. From delivery services to make-at-home ceramics kits, their sheer ingenuity we’re seeing is not just encouraging, it’s astounding.
Sarah Ryding of i4 Design & Construction and Nat Wheeler and Kristy Sadlier of Norsu Interiors have kicked that innovation up a notch. In light of the almost overnight need for people to transform their day-to-day spaces into an instant office – and/or homeschool, the local businessowners partnered to developed the Puzzle Desk.
Made from seven individual, slotted pieces, the desk fits together without the use of tools. It can be assembled and packed down at the beginning and end of each day, making at-home work spaces temporary and keeping your home life at home! If there is anything we’ve learnt about working from home, it’s that having a designated work space is crucial to getting things done!
The Puzzle Desk is made from medium density fibreboard and comes in two finishes: white laminate and raw – the latter of which can be painted and customised to suit your individual workspace needs. At $279, the first run sold out within 24 hours, but the team are hoping to be restocked by the end of this week! This little, local design project is keeping not one but TWO businesses ticking over right now, so… well worth supporting if you’re in the market!
