This November don’t miss out on your chance to step inside some of Tasmania’s most beautiful homes with Open House Hobart. 

2022 marks the popular design event’s incredible 10th year anniversary, and to celebrate, they’ve lined up an impressive schedule of buildings and private homes for attendees to visit including The Boathouse by Maguire + Devine Architects, The Greenhouse by Bence Mulcahy, Hampden Road House by Archier and Studio Ilk’s The Barn/Stoneflower, plus so many more!

In addition to celebrating and championing Hobart’s great architecture, Open House Hobart also includes a series of talks from experts across a variety of different subjects including; planning, landscape and built environment industries to explore various issues facing the city such as; building heights, heritage preservation, sustainability and housing affordability. 

Architect Shamus Mulchahy says, ‘It’s a wonderful weekend sharing the value of architecture with the public, allowing them to experience it first-hand. The program, at its core, is education – an opportunity for everyone to learn about architecture and our built environment through experiencing it.’ 

The Open House Hobart program goes live on Thursday 6 October at 12pm AEST. Check the website to register for the buildings you want to visit. Many buildings don’t require bookings, so you can just show up!
