Why Is Good Quality Furniture So Expensive?
With cost of living on the rise, we speak to two leading local furniture brands to find out what drives the price behind their designs.
Like many in Melbourne, we were devastated to hear the news terrazzo queen and TDF friend, Tantri Mustika, is closing her studio and shop in Collingwood Yards this month.
Whilst Tantri’s exit will leave a hole in Melbourne’s local creative retail scene, many will be relieved to hear she’ll still be operating and selling her beautiful wares online.
In lieu of the studio shutting its doors later this month, Tantri is hosting a closing-down sale on Saturday 11th February, fans of her work won’t want to miss!
The cash-only sale will feature all of Tantri’s seconds and samples, plus studio furniture, ceramic materials, tools and equipment – it will also be the last day of trade for the store.
Funds from the sale will go towards the cost of disassembling the store fit-out and moving large equipment. It’s a brilliant opportunity to snap up one of Tantri’s one-of-a-kind pieces!
