Earlier this week we gave you a sneak peek of Amanda Dziedzic’s amazing new studio for all things glassblowing in Heidelberg West – and this weekend, they’re celebrating! Hot Haus contemporary glass studio will be throwing open their doors on Saturday, November 23rd for a bit of a shindig that brings together creatives from all disciplines, and invites stickybeaks to have a look around the new space.
The newly renovated showroom will be open to all for a day of events including a makers market, auction and the Prosecco Van on site slinging Aperol Spritzs all day. Stallholders include the brilliant Capra Designs, Dot and Co ceramics, and Yo-Dan and there will be live painting from Mikey Ting as bring some art action to the day!
In addition to showing off the new showroom, the day will also feature a silent auction with donations from brilliant glassblowers from across Australia. Funds from the auction will used to help fund the purchase of a furnance – the hot heart of any glass studio. If you’ve seen Blown Away on Netflix (honestly, an absolute must watch!), you will know how essential the furnace is to the whole (incredible) process of creating glassworks.
Strike while the fire is hot, the auction will run online from November 18 – 24th, or roll up at the studios on Saturday 23rd from 10am to 3pm.
