For the past two decades, Cult Design has built its reputation selling coveted iconic designer furniture from the past, and present.

That’s why the Australian retailer is hosting a new exhibition featuring some of the industry’s most recognisable furniture and lighting designs for its 25th anniversary!

Cult Design Icons will take over Cult’s flagship showroom in Sydney to showcase 25 designer pieces by big names such as Hans Wegner, Arne Jacobsen, Le Corbusier, Verner Panton, Achille Castiglioni and Australia’s own Adam Goodrum. Adding further weight to the showcase, each piece has been selected by an impressive line-up of leading local creatives.

The curators include prominent designers from practices like Arent&Pyke, Futurespace, Decus Interiors, fashion designer Lee Mathews, and even The Design Files’ own founder Lucy Feagins!

As a celebration of Cult’s ethos and history championing authenticity, the exhibition explores the craftsmanship and ideologies of the designers and makers who have shaped the design landscape across the last century. It’s a chance for design fans and aficionados to see the iconic pieces for themselves IRL, presented alongside anecdotes and stories from the curators.

Cult will also host a series of exclusive guided sessions with Cult founder and CEO Richard Munao, dedicated to discussing the importance of original design.

‘One of our core values is to buy once, buy well,’ Richard adds. ‘We believe in longevity and investing in design that will stand the test of time, both in craftsmanship and aesthetics. The icons are timeless and transcend all kinds of interiors.’

See Cult Design Icons at Cult’s flagship showroom from February 17 until March 1.
