We’re always on the lookout for a great pair of shoes to see us through summer (and longer!). Naturally, style and look are key deciding factors, but ones that also come podiatrist-designed with sustainability at their core – or should we say, sole – find themselves at the top of our lists!

Australian fashion label FRANKiE4 has set out to deliver exactly that. Their footwear is not only packed with podiatrist-designed support and comfort, but many of their designs include sustainable features, such as foam lining that is made from recycled plastic bottles.

The company is also working to alleviate waste by partnering with TreadLightly (a national recycling initiative) to turn used shoes into spring mats for playgrounds and gyms – anyone can simply drop a used pair of shoes into one of their designated bins in store! In the last six months they’ve saved 2303 pairs of shoes from being dumped in landfill.

Among our favourites from the FRANKiE4 Spring/Summer22 collection are the KASS Tan slide (perfect for summer work attire), and the ROSiE Black wedges (bring on garden parties!). But we can also never go past a reliable pair of white sneakers, like the MiM.

With so many great styles, it would be hard to choose just one. Which, will be the happy challenge for five lucky TDF readers! See all the giveaway details below.

To go in the running to win a pair of FRANKiE4 shoes of your choice, fill out the entry form below and tag a friend in the pinned giveaway post on The Design Files’ Instagram. Entrants must be following @thedesignfiles, @frankie4footwear on Instagram to be eligible to win.

The competition closes on Sunday December 11 at 11.59pm AEST. The winners will be drawn and notified on Tuesday December  13 via email. See here for the T&Cs.
