5 Holiday Homes We’re Dreaming Of Staying At This Summer

Stays

Is there anything better than escaping to a holiday home when summer rolls around? It’s a chance to get away from the hustle of everyday activity, and step into a new life in a new place – even if it’s just for a week.

If you’re not lucky enough to have your own private beach house, Australia’s first ‘home hotel’, Luxico has exclusive access to rent some of the country’s best holiday houses.

Their incredible properties range from architectural homes with scenic views, to relaxed family retreats (and everything in between) with the added luxury of a personal concierge!

To help you plan your perfect summer trip, we’re sharing five of our favourite stays primed for the holidays ahead.

The Gap
Flinders, VIC

With uninterrupted ocean views and a swimming pool, this architectural oasis in Flinders is the ultimate summer escape. Dubbed The Gap, the property’s interiors feature exposed timber beams, a luxurious sunken lounge with a fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows that perfectly frame the spectacular landscape and manicured lawns.

The Palm Springs-inspired property sleeps up to 10 guests across its 6 bedrooms, making it the ideal retreat for big groups or family getaways. Plus, it’s just minutes from the beach, vineyards, and world-class gold courses, so there’s something for everyone – if you can drag yourself away from the view!

Byron Bay, NSW

Positioned across from a nature reserve, this three-bedroom abode is surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Barefoot Cottage has been newly renovated with the help of multi-disciplinary design studio The Designory to create a refreshing ‘home away from home’.

A coastal colour palette of white, sage greens, deep navy, and concrete grey adds to the relaxing vibes, while the property also includes a chef-style kitchen, a 10-seat outdoor dining table, plus an outdoor bathtub and shower. Wrap-around decking and a plunge pool complete the summery outdoor areas where you can soak up the sunshine. It’s quintessential Byron Bay at its best!

Flinders Gem
Flinders, VIC

One of the best parts of renting your own holiday home is the privacy. It doesn’t get much better than swimming with your friends and family in a sun-drenched pool, and the backyard of this Mornington Peninsula pad is primed for summer!

Recycled brick and timber materials enhance the rustic aesthetic of the four-bedroom stay called Flinders Gem. Inside, floor-to-ceiling glass windows open the modern living spaces to a covered alfresco and deck and manicured gardens. You can cook up a storm in the impressive kitchen, lay out by the heated swimming pool or make the most of the home’s prized position and make your way to the nearby Flinders’ village.
