SO today is a bit of a first. I’ve been wanting to introduce some sort of ‘DIY’ style content for a while now… but truth be told, I haven’t known quite where to start. It wasn’t until we were recently approached by HP that I found the inspiration to create a video series of fun creative projects to try at home!

Over the next few weeks we’ll roll out a series of quick, easy creative print projects, all created using HP’s new Deskjet 3700 printer.  I’m talking SUPER EASY ideas, that literally anyone can do, in under an hour.

Today we’re kicking off with ‘Shelfie’ – a super simple DIY photo framing idea. The important part of this little project is the frames – we used these great solid acrylic picture frames which look so sleek clustered together, especially when you flush frame your pictures (i.e, trim your pictures to the exact size of the frame, and mount right to the edge). For a stylised look, we scanned grainy old black and white pics, but you could try this idea with any photos you like. (We found our frames at Country Road, but I’ve also seen similar ones at department stores.)

IF YOU would like to give this project a go, HP is offering a bunch of printer prize packs to get you started!
