This week we're continuing through our list of the TOP TEN Australian Homes of 2013, kicking off with a special home that won many hearts when we first ran this story in early September, just at the tail end of winter! This incredible house right in the heart of Mt Buller's holiday village is home to the Percy family - that's Andrew and Tiffany, plus their five ski-mad kids, who live here right through the snow season, from June through to September each year.
Tiffany and Andrew purchased their four bedroom alpine lodge five years ago, and enlisted Melbourne design firm Hecker Guthrie
to give it an extensive interior makeover, working within the existing floorplan, set over 3 levels. A classic palette of crisp whites and greys, timber panelling and layers of alpine inspired textiles (wools, plaids and leathers) were brought into the space to add warmth and texture.
It was an absolute BLAST heading up to Mt Buller to shoot the story with Eve Wilson
- and such a wonderful insight into quite a unique way of life... thanks for sharing your home and story with us Tiffany and family!
