My dear friend Madeleine Beatty (aka Madz has Runaway) is one seriously clever crafter. After many successful years making beautiful (and hugely popular!) resin / fabric jewellery and accessories, this year Madeleine decided it was finally time for something completely new. She tried really hard to design something that looked unlike any other crafty creation she'd ever seen before... and you know what, she did it! Who would have thought it would still be possible to design an entirely new and original handcrafted accessory in this supremely crafty city! Madeleine's stunning new timber / fabric brooches perfectly fit the bill - with their vintage fabric panels delicately inlaid into each brooch by hand, they really are so special - the perfect balance of laser-cut components and hand-crafted detail.
ALSO new this year, Ms Beatty has turned her hand to stationary and greeting cards - such cute designs! Actually I requested that 'Fan Club' one for my birthday... and of course Maddy kindly obliged! I think it may be the cutest card I've ever seen!
Do pop over to Madeleine's website and Etsy shop! You can also find her wares at Ramona Tienda in North Melbourne, and Brunswick Bound in Brunswick (greeting cards only). Other stockists listed here.
