Ever since The Design Files’ launched in 2008 as a personal blog, we’ve been an online-only publication. But, as the media landscape continues to shift and change, we’re more conscious than ever that we must meet our readers where they are, and where they want to find us.
Which is why we’re thrilled to announce the official launch of The Design Files Magazine!
Published biannually in October and April, The Design Files Magazine is filled with everything you’ve come to expect from TDF — plus some — including exclusive home tours, gardens, apartments, architecture projects, artist features and shopping guides.
Issue 01 has been guided by the idea of ‘longevity’, and celebrates timeless design. You’ll find art deco apartments, modernist gems, rented spaces, forever family homes, and even legendary singer-songwriter Missy Higgins’ cosy ‘70’s pad!
It will be hitting stores (and your coffee tables) on October 12, 2024.
But, in the meantime, pre-orders for our first issue are officially open! Be the first to receive a copy by pre-ordering Issue 01 here ($25, plus shipping), or save yourself the hassle of having to pre-order Issue 02 next year and sign up for a subscription ($40/year, plus shipping) – a saving of 20% off the cover price.
Anyone who has subscribed or pre-ordered a copy of the magazine before September 20 will receive their magazine between October 7-12 (within Australia).
The Design Files Magazine will also be available at select retail stockists, you can see them all here!
To celebrate this very special launch, we’ll be hosting a pop-up shop on October 12th, 2024 at 8 Otter street, Collingwood, VIC. Pop in between 10.00am – 5.00pm to visit our team, buy a copy of the mag, and get a free gelato from Pidapipo between 2pm – 5pm!
We couldn’t be more excited to share this milestone with you. We hope now, that between our weekly emails and daily social media updates, you will find space for us twice a year on your coffee table at home, with stories to savour a little longer!
