Tait Volley Chairs featuring optional magnetised seat cushions, available in a range of outdoor fabrics

Dining chairs

Outdoor dining chairs need to be durable and low maintenance, but that doesn’t require sacrificing on comfort and aesthetics.

The Jardan Raf Outdoor Chair caters to this niche with its minimal and sculptural silhouette available in a variety of nature-inspired colours. The Australian-made brand’s Clay Outdoor Chair provides a similarly ‘indoor’ look with the addition of a removable seat cushion and armrests for comfort, strength, and elegance.

Tables and chairs from the HAY Palissade collection

Dining tables

We can’t talk about outdoor furniture without mentioning the HAY Palissade collection — without a doubt the most popular outdoor setting featured in homes on The Design Files!

The Tait Seam Dining Table is another modern outdoor furniture classic, featuring clean lines and sophisticated detail. Powder-coated metal tables provide durability across a variety of colour choices.

Armchairs

In the last few years we’ve been seeing more outdoor furniture settings embracing the feel of a traditional indoor dining room.

The addition of a plush armchair helps achieve this look, such as the Tait Voom Lounger. Upholstered in a bouclé fabric, this luxe outdoor armchair is non-allergenic and resistant to UV, saltwater, chlorinated water, mildew and bacteria.

Another retro-inspired piece is the Mater Ocean Lounge Chair — a reimagined 1955 design made using ocean waste plastic, combining innovative solutions to prevent pollution of the world’s ocean.

Sunlounges

Relax around the pool all day on the foam cushioned Tait Trace Sunlounge that provides a resort-feel at home.

Smaller spaces will benefit from the versatility of the gorgeous and multifunctional Fritz Hansen Riviera Lounge — based on the original Riviera Sunbed — that expands to serve as a chair, table, or sofa.

Outdoor sofas

Entertain the whole family around a durable sofa that encourages time spent outside.

The Jardan Mac Outdoor Sofa offers a contemporary look featuring spotted gum, powder coated metal, and removable outdoor cushions for easy indoor storage.

Mid-century design lovers will appreciate the clean horizontal lines of the Tait Breeze Sofa — named for its ventilated woven wire construction.

Side tables

A side table is an essential part of any casual dining setting where drinks are served.

The Coco Flip Sequence Sequence Round Table is one of our favourites for its gentle curves and versatility available in a number of heights.

Accessories

Tie your space together with accessories tailor-made for outdoor use, including portable lighting, drink trolleys, and even rugs.

Weave’s Andorra Rug retains the plush, soft feel of a traditional indoor product but is especially made for outdoor use. Its handwoven, bold geometric design provides a beautiful, textured finish for a refined outdoor area.
