Friday 20th November 2020

With Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and summer dinner parties all just weeks away, it’s officially time to start stocking up the fridge!

This year we’re avoiding hectic car parks, overwhelming bottle shop aisles, and inevitable checkout queues in favour of online drinks shopping from our friends at Diggin’ In The Cellars.

Diggin’ In The Cellars are the online store of acclaimed Melbourne wine bars Toorak Cellars, Milton Wine Shop, The Alps Wine Shop, The Hills and The Moon.  Since 2010, they’ve been stocking the best selection of interesting wines from Australia and the globe, and they also offer free same day delivery to all Melbourne metro customers!

As part of our Christmas Countdown online shopping event, we’ve selected our favourite drinks available from Diggin’ In The Cellars, who are offering them to TDF readers with a 10% discount!

First up is the Survival Pack Juice Box – 6 Pack, which at this point in 2020, is basically an essential purchase. Containing a fresh and zingy prosecco from the King Valley, two pinot gris and and two pinot noir from the Yarra Valley, and a dry savoury Provence rosé, this staples pack is ideal for divvying up as gifts, or simply for seeing you through the summer months at home!

Everyone needs a refreshing white that won’t break the bank, and for that we recommend the 2019 Vino Da Tavolo Bianco from central Victoria. Fresh, textural and always appropriate, this wine is best paired with fresh shellfish pasta and served at sunset.

After something a bit more experimental? Try the 2020 Express Winemakers ‘Foamo’ Pet Nat described as a ‘ménage à trois’ wine involving pinot noir, pinot gris and sauvignon blanc from Great Southern, Western Australia.

There’s also a bright, juicy and crunchy gamay/pinot noir blend; Australian spiritzes; an aromatically opulent Italian pinot noir/pinot meunier, and more.

All products in The Design Files’ Christmas Countdown gift guide at Diggin’ In The Cellars are listed and linked above. Simply click any image to start shopping!

Diggin’ In The Cellars Christmas Countdown offer:

10% off drinks in The Design Files’ Christmas Countdown gift guide when you use the discount code DESIGNFILESXMAS at the Diggin’ In The Cellars online store checkout. Offer ends Sunday December 13.
