You’re Invited To The Design Files + Laminex Design Awards 2020!

TDF Design Awards

Like pretty much everything in 2020, this year’s TDF + Laminex Design Awards didn’t exactly go to plan. Since we weren’t able to hold the glamorous Awards event we’d initially hoped for, we had to get creative!

This year, our awards program will be hosted as a livestreamed event from the TDF Design Awards website – and you’re all invited! Join us as we pour out a glass (or five) of champers at 7pm on November 5th to celebrate the incredible designers and makers who are shortlisted in this year’s awards program, and, of course as we reveal all the winners!

Register here, and read on to find out how you can WIN a bespoke glass sculptural paperweight by Amanda Dziedzic!

Today we are excited to announce that the 2020 The Design Files + Laminex Design Awards 2020 will be hosted as a livestreamed event, on the TDF Design Awards website, on November 5th at 7pm.

Although the in-person Awards event we’d originally planned didn’t quite work out this year, this new format means we’ll be able to reach way more of you than would have been possible at an in-person ceremony! And don’t worry, being the ‘Golden Globes’-level dreamers that we are, we’ve got a few fun surprises up our sleeve!

It’s not just the Awards finalists who will be winners on November 5th. To celebrate this massive night on the TDF calendar, we’ll be giving away 10 spectacular one-of-a-kind hand blown sculptural glass paperweights crafted by Melbourne-based artist Amanda Dziedzic, created to match each of the unique trophies our awards winner will go home with.

To be in the running to win, on the night, share an Insta story of how you’re enjoying the TDF Design Awards, tag @thedesignfiles @laminexau and use the hashtag #tdfdesignawards – winners will be picked at random! We’d love to see you use our VERY CUTE (if we do say so ourselves) custom Awards GIFs, which you can find by searching thedesignfiles in the GIF section of Insta stories.

On November 5th at 7pm, pour a glass of champers, lay out the cheese and biccies, and maybe even put on something a little bit fancy to join us as we celebrate our incredibly hard working Australian design industry after a very challenging year. Follow the registration link sent to your email, or just visit tdfdesignawards.com to access the live stream.

Can’t wait to celebrate with you all – chin chin!

We’ll be going live online at tdfdesignfilesawards.com for the TDF + Laminex Design Awards on November 5th at 7pm. Register here.

Thank you to our Presenting Partner Laminex Australia, as well as our category sponsors Phoenix Tapware, Jardan, Country Road, Brickworks and De’Longhi, for their continued support of the Australian design industry through the TDF + Laminex Design Awards.
