The seeds of this incredible food and photography tour were first planted in 2016, when Annie of Annie’s Provedore in Barwon Heads commissioned renowned photographer Nikole Ramsay to travel to Italy and photograph one of the foodie’s gourmet tours. Nikole’s role was to ‘photograph the stunning scenery, capture the experience of the guests, and to visually bring to life the itinerary.’ Basically, a dream gig! Based on the success of this trip, the pair came up with the concept of running a tour that combined their passions for Italian food, wine, and photography.

Annie’s family are from the Veneto region, so her local know-how brings expertise to the tour, and plenty of insider scoops (including where to get the best scoop of gelato)! Nikole explains ‘Annie’s knowledge means that we will travel like locals, discovering places that are off the beaten track and hard to find.’

‘This tour is for anyone who is passionate about food, photography and travel’ says Nikole. The days will begin with photography tuition from Nikole, before Annie’s afternoon activities and foodie experiences. All photographers are welcome, from keen amateurs to seasoned professionals. Nikole notes, ‘I imagine that most participants will have their own camera and a basic understanding of how the camera works, but you definitely don’t need to be an experienced photographer to join us.’

If you are interested in sipping prosecco in Veneto, eating like a local, all whilst learning how to perfectly capture the experience on camera, this could be your dream trip! Annie is hosting an information evening will all the details on Thursday, October 24th at Annie’s Provedore in Barwon Heads.

The tour will run from the June 6th to 12th, 2020, and bookings are now open!
