‘Delicate embellishments bring together the traditional and the contemporary, delivering all the happy homeware feels’ – Phoebe Bell.

The latest collection from Sage x Clare is an ode to an American folky 1970’s, that combines retro florals with earthy hues. The collection’s distinctly ‘feel good’ vibes are enhanced through delicate embellishments, which ‘bring together the traditional and the contemporary, delivering all the happy homeware feels’ designer Phoebe Bell explains.

This joyful range is inspired by the raw beauty of the American desert, viewed through nostalgic rose coloured glasses. Phoebe describes how the colour palette for Terra is drawn from the ‘burnt hues of its stark landscape, and the deep blues and vibrant pinks of its ever-changing sky.’ This colour scheme helped guide the design of the pieces, which were influenced by mid-century references and iconic fashion styles from the era.

In addition to their ever-popular Nudie bath mats and series of linen bedding and cushions, Sage x Clare’s Terra collection introduces textural, hand-woven wall hangings with abstract cactus and rainbow motifs. Phoebe explains the importance of handwoven elements, which involved a lengthy process of design and production, including age-old craft techniques, and ‘plenty of trial and error’!

As summer draws to an end, keep the woozy sunset-drinks-on-the-deck feelings alive with Sage x Clare’s balmy Terra collection!
