Milan in Colour

As you guys know by now, our team were very lucky to make the trip to MILAN last month to attend the world’s biggest design fair, the Salone Del Mobile, with Dulux!

Milan Design Week draws around 400,000 visitors each year, bringing together the very best in international design. During our time there, we were proud as punch to see a great contingent of Aussie designers in the mix, and of course, design inspiration overload, with all kinds of exhibits and installations from a host of other designers and international design brands.

Today we launch our second film from Milan, featuring, ah, ME!  In this episode, I share my favourite discoveries from the fair, along with key trends and colours to watch out for, as they filter through to our own homes and design projects here in Australia.

As our ‘Milan in Colour’ series unfolds over the coming weeks, you’ll hear from award-winning interior designer David Flack of Flack Studio, and colour forecasters Bree Leech and Andrea Lucena-Orr from Dulux will divulge how Milan Design Week informs their annual Dulux Colour Forecast. Stay tuned!

Film by SIRAP, with photographs by Angelita Bonetti. Locations seen in this film includes:  the ‘Local Milan’ Australian exhibit, the Wallpaper* Handmade exhibit, ‘Typecasting by Vitra’, the moody interiors of CasaBASE, the swoon worthy foyer of Hotel Room Mate Giulia, the dramatic tile-clad Hermes installation at Museo Della Permanente, the ‘Swedish Design Moves‘ exhibit, the incredible Hay x Wework x Sonos exhibit at Palazzo Clerici and more!
