Kip & Co, run by sisters Kate Heppell and Hayley Pannekoecke and their good pal Alex van der Sluys, is a relative newbie in Melbourne's competitive bedlinen market, having launched their playful range of colour-popping bedlinen in 2012. (We first ran a little story on them here). They've gained a HUGE following since then, and with good reason. Their bold designs and cheerful prints have won many hearts, and brightened up their fair share of drab Melbourne bedrooms!
What Kip & Co ALSO do, which we think deserves a little mention of its own, is a gorgeous range of towels. Designed to complement their bedlinen ranges, Kip & Co's towels are brave and busy! The brand new Autumn / Winter 2014 towel collection is their most comprehensive range yet, incorporating six new prints. 'We adopt the same philosophy no matter what we are designing - bedding, rugs, beanbags or towels - we aim to bring a sense of fun to interiors, and never taking ourselves too seriously says' Kate.
The new Winter range is entitled 'All Grown Up', and includes new prints in bedding, towels, blankets and home furnishings. 'We believe it's the coming of age for little Kip' says Kate. 'On one hand we have tried to capture the fun of childhood, but we have also definitely channelled a more sophisticated look, compared to our previous ranges' she explains.
We think Kip & Co has certainly cornered a gap in the market here - bath towels with personality can be very hard to find! Our top pick from their winter range is the black / brown reversable 'Spots' print, which feels a little animal-print inspired, and the 'Matchstick' print, with its perfect pairing of royal blue and soft peach is very handsome too.
All Kip & Co towels are 100% cotton, super soft and properly absorbent! The full range is available online here, and at stockists listed here.
