My love affair with Melbourne based design duo Bonnie and Neil continues. These guys are just SO clever. Not to mention ridiculously nice.
The lucky few who attended last month's AMAZING Big Hearted Business conference in Melbourne would have spotted some of these beauties from Bonnie and Neil's new range, because they were kind enough to loan us a bunch of beautiful cushions and tablecloths to style the conference venue! Visitors to TDF Open House last year might also remember seeing Bonnie and Neil's beautiful wares on display (always so popular!), and of course their amazing screenprinted plywood tiles in our front room and courtyard cafe!
Bonnie and Neil's latest range is called 'Pottery', and draws inspiration from hand crafted ceramics. 'The range is inspired by a potter's studio - the process, shapes, colours and patterns in hand-painted ceramics' says Bonnie. I'm loving the vibrant coral, pink and watermelon tones, and the painterly, oversized floral prints. So bold and graphic, yet still so pretty!
I must say, having seen their growth over the past few years, I am proud as punch of all that Bonnie and Neil have achieved since setting up shop in 2010. From their bustling little studio in Brunswick, this industrious team continue to produce such vibrant, glorious handmade product season after season, and I am firmly convinced there are even bigger things to come! They are pretty chuffed to have had great success at the US trade shows last year - with a range of tablelinen picked up by retail giant Anthropologie for their US and UK stores! SO well deserved.
All Bonnie and Neil's cushions, tablelinen and timber tiles are made and printed by hand in Melbourne. You can buy them online here, or from stockists nationally, listed here.

Great stuff, but what about the plates? I can’t wait for them to come out!
Absolutely GORGEOUS!!
Love paint strokes and love the colours. Beautiful work as always!!
oh love the handpainted quality of these
Gorgeous! Colours and shapes, perfection!
Plates are on the Bonnie and Neil website, I just bought one!
Great colors ! Beautiful !
There is something very homely about these designs. It nice to see designers harkening back to the Art’s and Craft movement in a time dominated by modernism and cold cut steel. When I look at these products I don’t feel like I would be buying something mass manufactured, rather something unique that only I would have. Thats what makes this product special.
Beautiful. I just love how vivid those colors are and the charm of Bonnie and Neil’s hand painting.
simply lovely. love the vibrant colors and patterns. can’t wait to see what’s next from this duo!
Beautifully styled Bonnie
