WIN an authentic Eames Rocking Chair by Herman Miller from Living Edge - amazing!

Um yes.  I wonder if anyone will actually read this text given the image above really says enough to send any self respecting design lover into GIVEAWAY-INDUCED MADNESS! I'll try my luck...

As you may or may not know, there is a seriously excellent film called Eames : the Architect and the Painter showing at ACMI in Melbourne throughout June (season runs June 1st - 17th 2012).  I was lucky enough to score tickets to the preview and it was SO so great.  Highly recommend!

The film covers the life and prolific creative output of Charles and Ray Eames - the American husband and wife team reknowned for their incredible contribution to modern design in 50's, 60's and beyond.  Of course every design afficionado can recognise an Eames chair when they see one, but these design icons have an inspiring story that really does transcend the timeless design pieces they've left behind.  Charles and Ray Eames were the ultimate creative collaborators, with a shared career that spanned furniture and textile design, architecture, interiors and exhibition design, fine art, photography and film making.   The film provides the most amazing insight into these two eccentric, visionary designers, who truly were in a league of their own.

Eames : the Architect and the Painter is presented in association with Living Edge, who as you guys probably know are the national stockist of authentic Eames furniture from Herman Miller - produced to original specifications under license.  That means the REAL DEAL people, none of this shonky replica nonsense.

To celebrate the Eames film screenings at ACMI, Living Edge are generously offering an authentic Eames Rocker from Herman Miller, as pictured above, for one lucky TDF reader!  Ahhh, AMAZING!  In addition, ACMI have kindly offered 3 x doublepasses to see the film!

1st prize - 1 authentic Eames by Herman Miller Rocking Chair in white (RRP $795.00), plus doublepass to Eames : the Architect and the Painter showing at ACMI June 1st - 17th 2012.

2 x runners up will each win a doublepass to Eames : the Architect and the Painter.
