This week, given we're posting on all things cute and little for KIDS WEEK, we figured we should schedule a suitably kid-friendly Guest Blogger! Enter Cat Rabbit and Isobel Knowles, who have just penned their very first kids book - Owl Know How, published by Thames & Hudson.
I am sure all the craft lovers out there will be familiar with the magical world of Cat Rabbit. Originally from Tasmania but now based in Melbourne, Cat makes plush creatures that are much loved in indie / crafty circles - perhaps you might have seen her creations at the Finders Keepers markets or elsewhere in the blogosphere...
Cat joined forces recently with super talented fellow creative Isobel Knowles to create Owl Know How - a unique picture book featuring Cat's sweet plush creatures, and containing a pattern for you to make your very own Cat Rabbit owl at home!
This week to celebrate the launch of Owl Know How, Cat and Isobel are joining us on the Guest Blog. We'll learn a little about the two of them (Isobel has a particularly impressive backstory - she's also a musician and plays in the band Architecture in Helsinki!?), how they landed a book deal... and how the book itself came together. We'll even get a crafty owl-making tutorial from Cat later in the week.
AND of course being the lovely folks they are, Thames & Hudson have also offered a giveaway! Five lucky readers will win a copy of Owl Know How - hot off the press!
To be in the running simply leave a comment on any of Cat and Isobel's Guest Blog posts this week before 10.00pm Thursday. Five winners will be drawn at random and contacted via email on Friday.
Massive thanks to Cat, Isobel and Thames & Hudson for this week's Guest Blog and giveaway!
Owl Know How is just $24.95 and available from all great bookshops!
