Today Nat Turnbull shares the details of one of the bigger projects that Confetti System were working on during her internship, and some sweet garland making too. Third Drawer Down stock Confetti System's gorgeous products and have offered us a Confetti System Handmade Multicoloured Garland to giveaway this week! Just leave a comment on any of Nat's posts before 10pm on Thursday to be in the draw to win! A huge thank you to Abigail at Third Drawer Down for this great prize! -Jenny x
Nick and Julie of Confetti System are such an industrious pair. While I was in the studio they decorated more than 5 parties, a pop up shop, and met with future stockist - all while working on a new range. Phew! They love what they do though, and I mean, how couldn’t you?!
As well as these projects they were working on a huge project for The New York Times quarterly travel magazine. The Times commissions an artist to recreate their T for the cover of this magazine. I was a serious intern on this day documenting the whole process with photo’s, getting coffees all while crazily making cactuses in the background. It was a really amazing day and photographer had a shoot the previous day with Gwen Stefani so I think it’s safe to say I’m practically famous now! (check it out on the NY Times website here)
A lot of the time in the Confetti System studio was spent filling online and store orders. I spent endless hours making their beautiful garlands, packaging them up and sending them off all over the world. Luckily in Australia we can buy them from Third Drawer Down and they have kindly offered a Confetti System Handmade Multicoloured Garland to one lucky TDF reader this week!
I can’t wait to be doing something with my life as amazing as this!
