This week Jenny and I are super excited to welcome the amazing Liz Jones of Betty Jo Designs to the Guest Blog! Liz is the QUEEN of all things lino, and is passionate about salvaging and recycling vintage materials and found objects to make her unique range of accessories and homewares. The result is a vibrant range of very quirky pieces, each one entirely unique. You may recall Liz's fabulous work has been seen in Paul Smith stores internationally and closer to home, it's been snapped up by Fiona Scanlan for her gorgeous Big kids' stores...!
Liz also has some fun things in the works which you should check out! She is taking part in a POP-UP Sale at the Nicholas Building commencing this Thursday with other creative ladies including Emily Green, Dawn Tan and Draw Pilgrim - all info here. Liz is also creating an installation at Pussycat Black for Craft Victoria's Craft Cubed festival. AND like all the best designer / makers in Melbourne, she's running classes at Harvest Workroom very soon! If you love Liz's work, do consider booking in to learn some of her secrets! Also, Liz has an excellent blog and online store you should defo check OUT.
Liz is with us all week sharing her love of LINO, and showing us the work of some other artists and designers who also re-use this unexpected material in their work.
Liz has also generously offered a very special giveaway to accompany her Guest Blog! One lucky TDF reader will win a custom cuckoo clock similar to the one below, valued at $160.00! Simply leave a comment on any of Liz's Guest Blog posts before 10.00pm this Thursday 4th of August to be in the draw to win! THANKS Liz! (Giveaway open to Australian residents only).
