Yesterday I had to have my daughter’s 16 year old cat euthanased due to cancer. She was such a beautiful cat who was liked even by people who don’t like cats. As my daughter is intellectually and physically disabled she put up with a lot from her “family”. Both my daughter and her cat are verrrrry “pink”. When I saw this morning’s post with that beautiful pink heart I thought of them both and as my love is ceramics, I thought this would be a fitting reminder of the love we shared.
Gorgeous home! I love the bird on a wire t.lighthaus lantern – adorable, it looks like the sun is setting. A wee piece of perfection!
Being a florist i love the flowery ones of course….let me win one!
Just lovely! Anyone would be very lucky to own a lovely lighthaus lantern. Mariana, you are very talented.
I have been looking for a lantern for months and these floral ones are perfect for my room the details are stunning. … i would be so ecstatic to win one!
Put a bird on it! How can you go past the bird on wire, just so sweet. A house full of colour and amazing details aswell as a rocky road recipe….. Could a hump day morning get any better?
I’m loving the Australian botanicals! We are so lucky to have such beautiful plants influencing our daily lives, and Mariana’s lamps capture the very essence of Australian Design. Would love one of these cheering up my home this winter,
Love, love, love the birds!
Hello Marianna and Family,
Thanks for this invitation.
I enjoyed seeing the inspirational veiw of…………your home and the welcoming aspects
of light in every space
………..your garden and the organics
………..your ‘capture a moment’ photography
………………..and your lanterns which come alive with a simple tea light!
The ‘earthly’ series impressed me the most as you found the intelligence and design in nature
most often miss.
The ‘mystery surrounds’ lantern is the one i most love as poppies are nostalgic in our family.
I love them all! But I love the Hakea most- its my favourite Australian shrub.
Thanks for the awesome blog too, its also one of my favourites.
The birds on a wire remind make me think of that pre-dawn hour as the worlds slowly wakes and this Emily Dickinson quote came to mind.
I’ll tell you how the sun rose a ribbon at a time. ~Emily Dickinson
Just the most magical and fleeting time of day that is encompassed in this lamp.
Though they are all simply gorgeous! I think I love the birds the most. It would look sooo lovely in my lounge.
What a stunning peice who would’nt be happy to display that in their home.
