Oooh this is such a stellar collaboration project.  Melbourneʼs GPO has joined forces with super clever creative agency The Jacky Winter Group to present ʻTrue Selfʼ - an exhibition that links over 50 amazing Australian artists and creatives by way of the good old fashioned chain letter.

MANY of our fave local artists, illustrators, photographers and designers have been roped in to this mega-collaboration, each contributing A3-size works on paper, which, in a nod to the GPO’s heritage, have been sent from artist to artist via good old snail mail!  The result is a series of uniquely collaborative artworks, and a few brilliant, unlikely creative partnerships (like David Bromley and Kate Banazi, above - AMAZING!).

So many super talented creatives are represented in this show, including Miranda Skoczek, Beci Orpin, Kate Tucker, David Bromley, Emily Green, Kate Banazi, Marise Maas, Luci Everett, Ellie Malin and the list goes on and on!  Also, the exhibition design and installation has been handed over to amazing Melbourne design studio Foolscap Studio, so that, in itself, is likely to be pretty special!

The original works on display are each priced at $200.00 (total ridiculous bargain), with all proceeds going to Fitted for Work, a charity that assists women experiencing disadvantage by providing them with free interview-appropriate clothing and transition-to-work programs.

Do you seriously need any more reasons to get EXCITED about this show!?  Such immense goodness all wrapped up in one amazing exhibition!  If I wasn't in Queensland today or I would totally race down there and nab myself a piece of work tout suite.

ʻChain Mail: True Selfʼ opens tonight at the GPO, corner Elizabeth and Collins streets in the CBD, and the exhibition can be viewed on level 1 of the GPO until June 24th.
