Thank you to Tiel Seivl-Keevers for an incredible week on the Guest Blog! It has been such a refreshing week getting to know Tiel and learning about some of the inspiration behind her work. A big congratulations to Bella (comment #5) who was the winner of the 'Season Delight' I, II, and II prints! Remember to visit Tiel's Etsy and Bigcartel stores and of course her fantastic blog too. - Jenny x

Well it’s almost Christmas time. School holidays have begun which means I don’t get much time to paint or draw. Often the humidity that Brisbane is infamous for makes it really uncomfortable to concentrate anyway. These are the days where the crafter inside of me explodes, as does my sewing room, and every other available surface in the house.

Reflecting back, 2011 has been slightly a chaotic year. There were the floods here in Brisbane, a house move and many other personal hurdles that needed jumping. I didn’t achieve what I set out to do, but as my dear friends keep reminding me I still managed to accomplish some great things, including a few successful shows I was involved in.

Looking forward to 2012 and crossing my fingers that I’ll have more time to dedicate to my art and illustration work. For now until then, I will enjoy the elements of summer. Fresh fruits, salty water, reading books, decorating for Christmas, gardening, the odd cocktail or three, and time with the kids.

Thank you to Lucy and Jenny for asking me to be a guest blogger. Looking back at some previous guest blogs I feel honoured to share this zone with some amazing Australian Talent. Congratulations to the winner, I will send these to you ASAP. Thank you to everyone who commented, I really loved reading them and really appreciated the descriptive feedback. Merry Christmas and happy summer to all.
