Today Hello Sandwich brings us a quirky collection of pop up hotel rooms from Japan with something here to tickle everyone's fancy. I for one can't stop thinking about room 307 and all those stripes! - Jenny x

Llove Tokyo is a pop up hotel in Tokyo’s fashionable suburb Daikanyama. Dutch and Japanese designers worked together to create a series of ‘exhibition’ rooms in the form of a pop up hotel. Visitors are able to book and stay in one of these incredible rooms for the night until 23rd November 2010.

Each of the rooms are unique and amazing in their own way, but the Hello Sandwich favourite rooms were those designed by Richard Hutten and Yuko Nagayama.

Hutten transformed room 307 into a colourful hideaway using multicoloured layered mattresses and covering the walls with vibrant industrial masking tape.

But the quirkiness doesn’t end there. Boys and girls bathrooms are marked with cute illustrated blue and red witches hat usually reserved for construction sites, the kitchen light doubles as a life jacket, and you can find paintings by Japanese artist Misaki Kawai throughout some of the other rooms. This is one hotel you won’t want to check out of.

Taking a new spin on ‘camping’ Nagayama used natural materials such as trees and stones to create an indoor garden in room 302. Coming to Tokyo? Be quick to book your room here. Room rates start from ¥8000 for a single room. Love Love Hello Sandwich xoxo
