There’s a reason candles have been a failsafe gift since forever, and a new Melbourne label has just launched a luxurious range you’ll want to add to your wishlist.
The team behind same-day delivery gifting and florist service Daily Blooms have created their own candle label, Öde Studio, featuring calming scents wrapped in beautiful packaging.
Familiar with how a fresh bouquet of flowers can brighten up someone’s day, Daily Blooms and Öde Studio founder Courtney Ray says they wanted to carry this ethos into their fragranced candles. Except in addition to being perfect gifts, the range has also been designed to encourage rituals around self-care.
The idea is that the simple act of lighting one at the end of a long day, will help transport you to another place in time, thanks to the three debut scents inspired by Victoria’s natural landscape!
Balm features notes of fresh lavender and citrus, while Bramble blends pine with floral scents of jasmine and rose, and Plume has a slightly woodier fragrance, mixing bergamot and tobacco leaves with black sandalwood. And each soy wax candle has been designed and hand poured here in Melbourne, with a 40 hour burn time.
But the brand’s packaging is also pretty special in itself. It’s designed by local artist Julian Jones, who’s painted an impressionist-style landscape to match each candle’s scent!
